Although most of the population of Port Hardy is white, it seemed like 80% of the children and adults at the annual carnival were First Nation people. While my children went on rides with their friends, I was free to shoot away at a wonderful variety of people attracted to the rides, games and copious amounts of junk food. It seemed like the adults were having at least as much fun as the kids.
